Dear Friends,

On December 25th of 2007, the Lahainaluna High School Marching Band will be traveling to San Diego , California , to participate in the 2007 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl. The performance will include 15 other high school bands from across the U.S. They will be part of a parade within San Diego and also participate in a halftime field show. The Lahainaluna Marching Group consists of approximately 75 members including our color guard and support staff. This is a first for the Lahainaluna Band as we have never before performed out of the state, much less a televised bowl game. For many of our students, this is a once in a lifetime experience. Marching Band takes work, lots of it. Their dedication, perseverance, and hard work will reap them great rewards on and off the parade grounds. This is something they will never forget. The name of Lahaina is synonymous with “Aloha”, as we, the members of the Lahainaluna Band will be representing not only our town and school but our Aloha State . Our school, the oldest west of the Rockies has a Marching Band. Let’s show them what we got!

Monies generated from this drive will be used to help defray student expenses ($1500 per student) as well as purchase additional uniforms and equipment.
